IT & Coding
Support hands-on coding lessons using Raspberry Pi, Python, Scratch and Robotics. No prior programming knowledge required!
Soft Skills
Foster teamwork, confidence and communication through creative team exercises, warm-up games and open discussion circles.
Your Own Projects
Your ideas are welcome! Support fundraising, social media management and bring your own creative projects to life.

We don’t replace local teachers — our programme complements the official curriculum.

A Day in Your Life as a Volunteer
Here’s what a typical day at Grow Ghana looks like:
Breakfast
Start the day together with your fellow volunteers at the Volunteer House.
Morning Briefing
- Prepare for the upcoming lesson
- Discuss team topics & to-dos for the day
Content Development & Concept Work
- Improve learning materials and lesson plans
- Organisational tasks, social media & new ideas
- Fundraising and partnership outreach
Lunch Break
Take a well-deserved break and recharge before the afternoon session.
Training Session at School
2–3 volunteers assist the local trainers in teaching students hands-on IT and coding skills.
Feedback Round
Reflect together on the day’s session and share highlights and learnings.
Your New Home:
Kokrobite
Ghana is breathtaking — and you’ll be living in a small paradise called Kokrobite. Partner schools are within walking distance or just a few minutes by car.
Accommodation: You’ll live together with volunteers from the Arise Educational Foundation in a spacious Volunteer House — just a short walk from the beach. You’ll share the household as a community and look after each other.

What to Expect
What you ideally bring:
- Age 18 or older, any nationality welcome
- Enthusiasm for working with children and young people
- Good English skills, patience and perseverance
- A high level of creativity & initiative
- No coding skills required — we’ll train you!
- Openness to a new culture and community life
